Duplicity the movie-SAVE YOUR MONEY

Tonight we walked out on Duplicity half way through the movie. Talk about boring, poor plot and crappy acting. Such a disappointment when I had so looked forward to it.

This is the third movie I have walked out on in my life. The first was the God awful Reservoir Dogs(I know it's a man's flick) and believe it or not Dances with Wolves. In my defense of the latter I didn't walk until toward the end when I realized both the horse and wolf were going to bite it. It was totally unnecessary to kill them. Of course when I was little I wasn't allowed to watch Lassie because whenever she got hurt, lost or kidnapped I would get almost hysterical. Just goes to show I truly do like animals better than most people. kays

Was this not one of the most inspiring videos ever? She put her singing career/dreams on hold to take care of her mother who passed away last year. The dress she is wearing is from a second-hand store. She is unemployed. I hope great things are in store for her. kays

Proofreading Mistakes

For some months I have been a Beta(proofreader) for several aspiring authors. Not only do I enjoy reading their stories as they unfold but I also enjoy reading their mistakes! Here are a few:

She walked up to the door and rang the buzzard.

He has trouble getting his composer back.

"...makes me act "wontonly" she implies.......

He gently messaged her breasts.

She realized that one of his faults, and there were few, he was Closter phobic.

She plunged the steak into his heart.

Just think one year ago today at 01:20 p.m. a 7lb. 6oz. 21 1/4 inch baby girl was born! I wonder how many lady bugs have entered her life in the past 365 days?

The backstory: My husband passed away almost 3 years ago.

Dishnetwork: How may I help you?
me: I'd like to place my dish service on vacation hold.
dnw: Well I can help with that.
me: Good
dnw: What's the address?
answered
dnw: What's the name on the account?
answered
dnw: Are you Dale?
me: no that's my deceased husband's name.
dnw: I'm sorry for your loss but in order to make this change I need to speak with Dale.
me: But he died.
dnw: Yes I understand but our policy is we have to speak to the person who orginally placed the order.
me: I understand but he's dead.
dnw: Again Ma'am I'm sorry for your loss but I need to speak with Dale.
me: Listen I'll tell you what, let's just cancel the dish account then.
dnw: We can certainly do that ma'am but I'll need to talk with Dale in order to confirm that.
me: Okay look, I'm going to call my mastercard and have them cancel your stupid satellite account then. You certainly haven't had a problem taking MY money and not Dale's. What is it you don't understand? He's dead!
dnw: Ma'am I'm sorry. This can be handled so easily for you, just let me speak with Dale.
me: Okay, do you have a pencil?
dnw: yes
me: Okay you can reach Dale here. H.E.A.V.E.N. And listen when you are done speaking to him tell him I need to talk to him also.
dnw: Ma'am would hold on a minute?
me: Certainly.
dnw: Thank you for holding. I've spoken with my supervisor and your account will be placed on vacation hold until you call us to release it.
me: Well thank you.
dnw: Not a problem Ma'am. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
